10 Things I Learned From…

Jason Bateman... DO NOT WANT

This one is an oldie. Usually, this one would be in the “Older MySpace Entries,” section. But, I’m going to start a new section all about “10 Things I Learned From My Favorite Movies, Music, and other random pop-culture icons!” So, sit back and enjoy the first of many entries in this category with my first, the original…

Netflix Is Amazing

Recently, I was gifted a Netflix account from my good friends, Goat and Alicia for Christmas. I have frequently been enjoying the fruits of this amazing gift. Seriously, I didn’t know that I would LOVE Netflix this much. I mean, I knew I would love it, but I’m seriously addicted. For cereal.
So far, on the instant Que, I’ve watched Last Action Hero, Mrs. Doubtfire, Zach Galifianakis: Live at the Purple Onion, Louis C.K.: Chewed Up, and the amazing Starship Troopers with many more delicious nuggets of film and comedy to come my way.
For the mail in Que, I’ve already received my first movie. The Exorcism of Emily Rose. There’s a lot of movies out there like Emily Rose that I’ve wanted to see, but I was just too lazy to go see in theater or even rent. That’s right, folks… I AM TOO LAZY TO GO SIT IN A THEATER, OR TO DRIVE TO BLOCKBUSTER, WHICH IS CONVENIENTLY LOCATED RIGHT BY MY HOUSE. Do you guys get it? I’m lazy? Was that not painfully obvious?
So, now that movies can be brought to me via THE MAIL and the farthest I have to go to get them is my mailbox (which, most of the time, the items in said mailbox are brought to the counter top of my home) I can more easily watch movies that I was slightly interested in seeing.

What I Need This Weekend…

I really, really, really need to see The Eagles win this weekend. I need them to beat Dallas for me to stay afloat mentally for the remainder of 2010. I don’t need The Eagles to win a Super Bowl. I just need them to beat Dallas. I can haz this one wish?

Comment on this! Working on New Years Eve…

I am currently at work waiting for people to call in and make my day go faster. Unfortunately, that is only happening sparingly. I do, however, have a blue Raquetball to bounce to keep me from stabbing myself from boredom.
I might try to do some certifications, but I’ll get just enough calls to make that a difficult process and not easy to accomplish. Maybe, I’ll read up on some interesting facts for my job! That’ll be neat. You guys should comment on this to provide me with some form of entertainment since I can’t use my phone, or check Facebook or Twitter from work. This is kind of my window to that world at work! Hit me up!!!

Well, I Owe My Great Hair To…

I’m just like Troy Polamalu… except that I’m not a pro football player, I don’t have long hair, I’m not Samoan, tall, in shape, or fast. See? We’re so much alike. Because we both use Head and Shoulders! With seven scalp and hair benefits; it’s for more than just dandruff.

A7X ALL DAY

In honor of Jimmy Owen “The Rev” Sullivan, any fans of Avenged Sevenfold should play their music today and play it loud. If they continue to make music without their fallen drummer, their sound will never be the same.
Not going to compare The Rev to Bonham, but it seems like this guy could have gone anywhere with his talents. I really hope they don’t reveal that he died due to drugs, because that would be a shame to see this great talent fall due to overuse. You will forever be in the hearts of Avenged Sevenfold fans. RIP.

You'll Never See Me Again

So, my good friends Alicia and Goat bought me a Netflix subscription. And, I think I’m pretty much guaranteed never to come out of my room. I’m watching Last Action Hero… that’s all you need to know. That is all.

RIP: Jimmy Owen Sullivan (1981-2009)

Jimmy Owen Sullivan, (February 10, 1981 – December 28, 2009), drummer for Avenged Sevenfold was found dead today. Easily one of the saddest things I’ve heard in recent memory. Among all of the celebrity deaths that have happened this year, this one bummed me the most. Avenged Sevenfold is one of my favorite bands and now they are without their drummer. You will be missed, Rev.

Welcome back, Cameron! Avatar is epic!

So, I saw Avatar in 3D after hearing all the mixed reviews. I had actually been really excited for this movie for a while and just hadn’t gotten around to seeing it. I can say, this movie is awesome. James Cameron has delivered another epic movie and adds to his already impressive resume. I will offer a full review later, but let me just say that not many movies make the hairs on my neck stand up. But, this one did. Welcome back, Cameron. Just don’t wait so long till the next movie!
